Unicorn Consulting Associates (UCA) seeks out and applies the skills of experts in each area of our business. In a knowledge based economy, we recognize and employ those skills that add value to our clients' bottom line profit.

All UCA Associates are expert in their field with extensive practical experience on plant floors and in real manufacturing environments coupled with detailed academic and professional training in their areas.

UCA Senior Associates have a minimum of 20 years experience in their area with recognized certifications; most have a Masters degree in one or more engineering discipline, business administration, finance, operations, or quality control.

UCA Associates have a minimum of 15 years experience with related certifications; most also have a Masters degree in their field.

UCA supports the continuing education and training in state of the art methods and thinking by paying for professional development and advanced degree programs for all qualified Associates. Continuing education and professional development are required activities of all UCA Associates.

UCA is proud to note that the second largest corporate cost center behind payroll is Employee Education.

About Our Founder

UCA and Unicorn Management Services, Inc were founded by Gary A. Foster, a Certified Purchasing Manager with twenty five years of experience in purchasing, materials, operations and quality, QS and ISO programs in manufacturing plants. Having documented bottom line savings in excess of a quarter billion dollars, Gary and experts he recruits combine their practical plant level experience with superb academic training to develop and execute exact solutions to problems for small American manufacturers.

Born and raised in the Detroit area, Gary is the son of working parents, paid for his own BA and MA by working in manufacturing plants and has been trained by some of the best (and some of the worst) manufacturing minds in the country. A life long student, Gary founded Unicorn Consulting Associates to combine his two great passions in life: saving money and small manufacturing success.
